Western Bulldogs fan-favorite Tom Liberatore has officially called time on his illustrious career, hanging up the red, white, and blue after 16 stellar seasons.
The 34-year-old midfielder finishes his journey with 268 games under his belt, leaving behind a legacy defined by sheer grit, team-first mentality, and a unique brand of toughness that made him a cult figure in the AFL.

Liberatore's decision follows a challenging 2026 campaign that limited the veteran to just 11 senior appearances due to a recurring battle with injuries and concussion issues.
Despite his physical setbacks late in his career, the father-son recruit remained a vital presence at Whitten Oval. Arriving at the club in 2010 following in the footsteps of his father Tony, 'Libba' quickly established himself as an elite inside midfielder.
He was a central pillar in the Bulldogs' drought-breaking 2016 premiership triumph and claimed the prestigious Charles Sutton Medal in 2014, alongside five other top-three best-and-fairest finishes.
