Gus Lamont vanished from Oak Park Station, a remote family homestead situated about 40 kilometres south of Yunta in South Australia's outback, on September 27, 2025.
Despite launching what police describe as one of the largest and most intensive searches in the state's history, authorities have yet to locate the young boy. In the wake of his disappearance, Gus has missed his fifth birthday and important milestones for his baby brother, leaving his family searching for answers in a baffling case.
A $1 Million Reward Announced
To break the silence surrounding the case, the South Australian government has announced a $1 million reward. The cash sum is available to anyone who provides information that directly leads to a conviction or discovers the whereabouts of Gus.
During a recent press conference, parents Jess and Josh spoke publicly on camera for the very first time. Fighting back tears, Josh emphasized their belief that someone in the community holds the missing piece of the puzzle.
"We are desperate to have him returned home to us and we are desperate for answers," Josh told reporters. "We believe that someone knows something, someone knows what happened to Gus, and may even know where he is."
