During a recent showcase, the developer revealed that both the highly anticipated Persona 6 and a brand-new, ground-up remake titled Persona 4 Revival are heading to the Switch 2. This strategic hardware alignment signals a major evolution in how publisher Sega and developer Atlus approach simultaneous multi-platform publishing for their flagship role-playing franchises.
The Persona 4 Revival Details
While Persona 6 remains shrouded in mystery, concrete details have emerged regarding Persona 4 Revival. Unlike Persona 4 Golden, the enhanced version currently available across multiple platforms, this new project is a complete remake of the 2008 PlayStation 2 classic.
The remake features completely overhauled visuals built from scratch alongside modern quality-of-life updates introduced in later franchise installments like Persona 5. Importantly, developers confirmed that Persona 4 Revival will retain all narrative and gameplay additions originally featured in Golden, while adding new character interactions and refined dungeon exploration mechanics.
The game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 18, 2027. Nintendo Switch 2 players will see a slightly later release, with the hybrid console version slated to arrive a few months afterward on May 20, 2027.
